  • AERA Group acquired a 55-bed supportive housing facility in Chesley, Ontario, marking its transition into larger-scale facilities.

Entering the Big League

In 2020, Ahil Eswaran joined AERA Group as CEO, bringing a fresh perspective and driving growth. That year, the company acquired a 17,000-square-foot supportive housing facility in London, Ontario. This flagship property marked a significant milestone, solidifying AERA Group's presence in the supportive housing sector.

2021
Expanding Horizons
  • Entered the hotel industry with the acquisition of a Super 8 hotel, converting it into an 80-bed extended-stay facility for supportive housing clients through a strategic partnership with the city.
  • Set plans to reposition and rebrand the property into a fully operational hotel.
2022
Portfolio Acquisition of 110 Beds Across Two Facilities

Acquired a 110-bed portfolio, comprising a 50-bed facility in Strathroy, Ontario, and a 60-bed facility in St. Thomas, Ontario, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

2023
Driving Innovation in Hospitality and Real Estate Development
  • Rakul Eswaran joined as COO
  • Entered multi-residential real estate development with the purchase of a church property in St. Thomas, Ontario, now being converted into a 29-unit apartment building.
  • Invested over $1 million to transform its extended-stay motel into a rebranded Quality Inn hotel, featuring modern interiors, upscale amenities, and a sleek, contemporary design.
